Off Duty: Why June is going to be terrific...

First of all, June already holds special musical significance. Back in the summer of 2008 my sister and I gave to June the all important privilege of being "Cary Brother's Month". If you are unaware of who Cary Brothers is, then you should quickly enlighten yourself about all that you are missing. This alone will make June an amazing month. But to add even more amazing-ness, two more of my favorite artists are coming out with new albums this month. It is just too much. City & Colour, who I have mentioned before on this blog, and Bon Iver. City & Colour (aka Dallas Green) will be releasing Little Hell in approximately six days, twenty-three hours, and fifty-eight minutes -- but who's counting. Bon Iver (aka Justin Vernon) decided to make me wait until the very extreme end of June to experience his new release. Bon Iver, Bon Iver comes out on June 21st. It's okay, I will wait.

MyCanvas Album

Many who know me know that if I am not the worst procrastinator in the world, I am at least the second worst. So, I even surprised myself when only a week after Addie was born I had an album designed and three copies printed. Now it has taken me about three months to actually blog about the album here, so I lose any points that I may have received with the actual creating of this album, but I still wanted to share it here.

I designed this album and printed it with MyCanvas. A wonderful resource that I found through my online photo hosting provider, SmugMug. It was such a simple process creating this album through MyCanvas. The best feature was the option of creating a custom layout within the album.

There are many options to choose from as far as the binding, cover art, and material used to create the album. This particular one that I made for Addie is more like a book, not really an option commonly used for wedding albums, but I think would be great used as an engagement session album. I hope to start providing this option to my clients in the future as well as some of the more well bound leather albums that MyCanvas supplies.

For now, here is Addie Elisabet Swenson, in a book.
