New Tunes: Gasoline Rainbows

These are not exactly new. This compilation album titled Gasoline Rainbows and benefiting the Gulf Oil Spill was released in November of last year, but I have just been evil and have not shared these two new tracks with anyone. Two of my favorites: Damien Rice and City and Colour each have a brand new track on this album. They are joined by The National, Pheonix, The Black Keys, Vampire Weekend, and LCD Soundsystem, to name a few. I hope that someone loves these songs as much as I do.

The phone rang at 3:00 a.m. and were en route to New Orleans in about 30 minutes. Waiting is hard work, but it can be done with ample amounts of coffee, breakfast from the hospital cafeteria, and...more coffee. We had been waiting nine months for this day, but four hours in the hospital waiting room seemed like an eternity.

And then she was here. 7:31 a.m. and on the same day as one of her great-great-grandmothers - Evelyn Wofford Caldwell.
