Family Session - Port Allen, LA :: Medlock Family
One last session before the new year! The Medlocks! Erik and Kara, Braeden, Haleigh, Heidi, and Brennan. I was so glad to be able to do their Christmas photos again this year. I love photographing this family, not just because of their extreme photogenic-ness (yes, you too sometimes Erik), but because they are like family and I love being around them. Thank you guys for such a wonderful time.

Anytime Session :: Rebekah + Carl + Baby
My sister and her husband Carl are expecting their first child and my first niece in February. I cannot wait. It will probably be the highlight of 2011 for me. This little girl already has a complete wardrobe, compliments of her favorite aunts who think that buying more and more outfits will make her come faster. Come on February!
Rebekah asked me if I would take some photos of her and Carl. I kindly obliged, because they don't know this yet, but my compensation will be to spend an uncommonly long time at their house in New Orleans for the company of a certain little girl. Yeah, we are going to be bff's. :)
It is Christmas Eve and they will be arriving in approximately 16 minutes to spend Christmas weekend with us.

Christmas Outreach 2010
"For your sakes He became poor." - II Corinthians 8:9
Our church has partnered with a ministry in Baton Rouge this year that provides canned foods to needy families as well as creating a place for donations of furniture, clothing, and household items to be bought. We were asked to come and play Christmas carols while the customers dropped by and shopped. It was such a good opportunity to serve the community in the name of Christ at Christmas time.

My Grandpop
This is my Grandpop. I took this picture when we visited my grandparents in Kemah for Thanksgiving. We were on a nature hike while the turkey roasted. Cameras are always in tow. I am pretty sure that it is from him that I get my love for cameras in general.
Grandpop is a sailor. He is a Dad to eight kids; Grandpop to 21 grandchildren. He is an idea creator. He is an inventor. He is an engineer. He is a German who married an Irish girl in Philadelphia in 1954. He is a Villanova grad. He is one of the smartest people I know.

Thanksgiving 2010 {Kemah, Texas}
I am never ready to leave when we visit Grandpop and Grandmom in Kemah. Thanksgiving is special there, because they are there.
A little taste of home.
Grandmom's Hummel. Me and this accordion player go way back.
These pictures of family sit on the piano. Sister Rita Madeline (left), and the Casey family (right).
As the stuffed turkey roasted in the oven, Grandpop decided that we should go for a walk in the nearby nature reserve.
There were an abundance of pies. Of which I made zero.
